Flying Scholarships
Believe it or not - people will pay you to fly, all you have to do is apply!
The Royal Aero Club Trust - Offer up to £1000 to fund gliding for pilots who reach solo standard. 16-21 yrs old. The Air League Educational Trust - Offer gliding (Cross-country or Aerobatics), motorgliding and light aircraft (NPPL) scholarships for applicants between 16 and 26yrs old. Guild of Air Pilots and Navigators (GAPAN) - Offer full funding for Private Pilots Licenses every year. The Junior Gliding Nationals - Held every year running over 10 days, this cross-country racing competition is for Silver qualified pilots. The comp is a registered 'nationals' but there is a big emphasis on learning. 2 Seater gliders are provided to fly 'off the back of the grid' and allow novices to get experience of cross-country and competition flying.

BRISTOL UNI GLIDING CLUB MEMBERS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN WINNING ALL OF THE ABOVE AT SOME POINT. GETTING INVOLVED IN UNI GLIDING IS A GREAT HELP FOR APPLICATIONS ETC.
